Invisalign

Invisalign is an alternative to fixed braces, which allows you to straighten your teeth without wearing metal in your mouth. You now have the opportunity to continue your normal social activities, to attend functions and social events with confidence. Most people won’t even notice you are having your teeth straightened.

Invisalign is a solution for many cases from minor teeth straightening to moderate and severe bite issues. Traditionally, bite issues were typically corrected with fixed dental braces, but modern technology now allows us to correct crowded teeth using a more convenient and comfortable method, that is Invisalign.

Unlike braces, Invisalign aligners are removable, which allows you to eat and drink with ease as well as brush and floss your teeth effectively. The aligners are customised, individually trimmed to fit your gum line perfectly, ensuring comfort and a natural look. The aligners are made with smart track material. They are biodegradable and are BPA and phthalates free.

The invisalign process

When you schedule your comprehensive exam, we invite you to request a free Invisalign consultation to discuss your dental crowding concerns and whether Invisalign is a suitable treatment method for your crowded teeth.

After your consultation appointment, you will be presented with a treatment plan which outlines all treatment details including timing and costs. The cost of your treatment is dependent on how many aligners will be required to complete your treatment.

Once you make the decision to treat your smile using Align Technology’s proprietary software to create a customised 3D treatment plan for you, this state of the art software enables us to show you the final position your teeth are predicted to reach and indicates the likely length of treatment time.

We are able to make changes to your expected new smile accordingly to suit your facial aesthetics and meet your desired cosmetic results sometimes in combination with porcelain veneers if teeth have been severely worn or damaged from the crowding and grinding issues.

During your treatment journey you will need to visit our clinic every 6-8 weeks to monitor your progress. At these review appointments, you will usually receive 3-4 aligner sets at a time and will be required to change the sets every 1-2 weeks.
