Oral Cancer Screening

According to World Health Organisation (WHO) statistics, oral cancer is the 11th most common cancer worldwide and has the same incidence worldwide as thyroid cancer and melanoma.

We believe it makes sense that as clinicians looking after your mouth, keeping a close eye on Oral Cancer screenings is paramount to ensuring your overall medical and dental health. They are conducted annually and include a visual check of your whole mouth as well as palpating the lymph nodes in your neck areas, indicating signs of infections.

These are incredibly important screenings as many early lesions can be present without displaying notable symptoms.

If you have noticed any head or neck lumps or swellings that have developed, please contact us at your next hygiene visit or call to schedule an appointment to review them.
